A Christmas Story Christmas is a funny family comedy just in time for the holiday season. It’s also a long-awaited sequel 39 years in the making.
In the original 1983 film, a young boy named Ralphie Parker tries every trick in the book to persuade his parents to get him what he wants most for Christmas: “An official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time.” It’s a memorable, endearing, nostalgic, and hilarious tale – the perfect recipe for becoming the classic Christmas movie it is known as today.
The charming sequel began streaming on HBO Max and Disney+ on November 17, 2022. It once again succeeds at making kids of all ages anticipate the wondrous magic of Christmas morning. This time around, Ralphie is all grown-up with a family of his own. The story follows his return to his hometown, where he intends to give his kids a Christmas like he had as a boy.
