Here we are, wind-bound at the foot of Lake Winnipeg, waiting for the waves to recede, watching her awesome power. From this vantage point, it seems extra intimidating to know we have to cross this lake.
But the team is strong and ambitious – determined to succeed! We feel a bit like we can’t NOT succeed, after being set up to do this journey, and all the hype that has been building, and the interest spanning the country.
My first impressions of the team are pretty positive, a real variety of personalities. We are getting along well, and finding efficient ways to use our skills and get things done. Lots of humour going on, which I think will be very important in the long run.
I like this motley crew, and love being here with them all, in this moment.
